NOTE: Silver streaks can be caused by overheating of the material (over 320°C) or by too long melt residence time in the barrel.
Wear protected, universal screws (3 zones) with back flow valve are recommended.
Shot volume: The metering stroke must be longer than the length of the back flow valve (without decompression distance).
Shot volume = 0.5 - 0.9 x (max. shot volume)
Runner diameter: 1.4 x thickest wall section of the injection molding part (but minimum 4 mm)
Nozzle: Needle shut-off nozzles are often used.
Gate and runner: To achieve an optimal mold-fill and to avoid sink marks, a central gate at the thickest section of the molding is recommended.
Demolding draft angles betweem 1-5° are acceptable.
Injection speed: Medium - High
